It’s been almost one year since Cut Your Knitting: Strand and Steek With Confidence launched. It’s been great to see all my students learn stranded color work and get past the fear of cutting it. To all of you out there: you’ve done a great job, and it is wonderful to see your tablet cases and coffee pot cozies!
I’m in Schaumburg right now, at STITCHES Midwest. While here I got a chance to put together a little celebratory offer: if you use this 50% off affiliate link (if you’re here and got a class card from me, it’s the same link) to purchase the class between 8/4 (the opening day of STITCHES) and 8/17 (365 days since the launch!) you will be entered into a drawing to win a free Craftsy class of the winner’s choosing!
I’ll announce the winner here on the blog on 8/18. Check back to see if you won, and maybe there’ll be some other celebratory goodies!
Off to prepare for teaching today!
On August 17th, 2015 my Craftsy class Cut Your Knitting: Strand & Steek With Confidence went live. Whoo hoo! Students have done some fabulous work and learned a lot, as you can see in some of their publicly posted class photos, below. Some are finished tablet cases or coffee cozies. Others are works in progress as students learn to control tension and gather courage for cutting. Some students played with color or changed the patterning. Emi2772 took what she learned and applied it to an Icelandic yoke sweater, something we don’t specifically cover in class—whoo hoo!
There’s still time to use the 50% link above and be entered in the free class drawing—once the midnight Central time zone gong sounds, entry in the drawing will be CLOSED.
I’m looking forward to another year of answering your questions, and seeing more great projects photos!
